Hockey

Elmer McCook formed the Fort Ware hockey teams, and later passed them down to other coaches. We have two co-ed hockey teams for the school year of 2008-2009:

-Wolf Cubs (ages 8-12) coached by local youth, managed by the ever-present Lavina Seymour

-Blazers coached by George Miller and Mark McCook

Tae Kwon Do

Under the training of Robert Derkson, students from Aatse Davie School have been learning and competing in Tae Kwon Do for several years now. In the school year of 2005-2006, four students earned their black belt:

Shawn McCook, Elton Massetoe, DJ Van Somer, and Tiffany McCook

These four in turn continued Rob’s work in assisting to train others.

Cross Country Skiing

 Students and staff utilize local skiing trails throughout the winter to work on their cross country skiing. 

Recreational Sports

Throughout the school year, sports such as floor hockey, basketball, and volleyball were set up after school by teachers and staff of Aatse Davie School to provide a healthy after-school activity for the youth of Fort Ware.
